What is the Human Layer Kill Chain?

The Human Layer Kill Chain, developed by the creators of Cyber First Aid, is one of the core tools for modelling and studying the modus operandi of the attacker and identifying the human vulnerabilities.

Our work is underpinned by the Human Layer Kill Chain — a new model developed through our research collaboration, which maps how human behaviours and stress responses are exploited throughout a cyberattack.

This framework allows us to create training and response tools that are not only preventative, but trauma-aware, and recovery-focused.
